Elsie C Jacobson

Elsie Jacobson grew up in Aotearoa/NZ, gaining her BSc. Honors in Genetics at the University of Otago. She completed her PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the Liggins Institute, University of Auckland, studying gene regulation and 3D chromatin organization under mechanical and chemical stimulation in the lab of Professor Justin O'Sullivan. She now is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she studies the role of X inactivation in mammalian placental development in the lab of Professor Kathrin Plath.
